About me
Brian has been a Software Engineer for the IBM i Global Support Center for almost 20 years. He is currently a member of the IBM i Internals, High Availability, and Power Virtual teams. He has also been a member on the Save/Restore, BRMS, Damage Assessment and Recovery, Small Products, Electronic Service Agent, Work Management, Root Integrated File System, HMC, PHYP, BlueGene installation, Rochester VIOS, Early Ship, and Premium Services Server Checkup teams.
Brian will be a speaker at this year's COMMON event regarding the Collection of data using the IBM Must Gather tools and giving you a behind-the-scenes look at the SYSSNAP Analyzer utilized by the IBM i Global Support Center to analyze your data more quickly.
Although this is the first COMMON event that he will be speaking, he has presented for IBM i multiple times at LUG (Large User Group) and PUG (Premier User Group).
He originated the IBM pre-upgrade verification tool for IBM i (PRUV) and continues to lead the tool. Brian had co-authored the IBM Virtual Tape Redbook, along with many IBM i magazine articles and technical documents.
Brian is a recipient of the IBM Outstanding Technical Achievement Award, IBM Bravo Award, and has been recognized for 100% Customer Satisfaction for multiple years.
Brian's goal is to continue expanding his knowledge to better collaborate with other technical areas and create/update tools to keep improving customer support and satisfaction.
