IBM watsonx Code Assistant for i – Overview

In 2024 at POWERUp, Steve Will, CTO & Chief Architect of IBM i, launched a project to create a tool that would use an AILarge Language Model, trained to understand RPG, to make life much easier for programmers who work with RPG, and toallow businesses to more confidently hire programmers to work with existing RPG code. IBM has just revealed IBMwatsonx Code Assistant for i. In this session Steve will describe the product, and the requirements it addresses.
