About me
Marina started her career in January 2015 at Everbrite LLC in Greenfield WI after graduating from Gateway Technical College in May of 2014 with an Associate’s degree in IT Software Development. Marina worked for over nine years as a Senior Programmer Analyst/IBM i admin at Everbrite and is now a Senior Programmer/Analyst/IBM i admin at Innovative Software Solutions and her role consists of project management, mentoring and growth of new developers, RPG, SQL and mobile development, IBM i administration and Java development. Marina earned her bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems Software Development from Bellevue University in June of 2017. Marina came up quickly through the ranks within the IBM i community and it started with Marina being named a fresh face (now rising stars) in 2019, Marina is an IBM Champion for the last three years which is the highest level of recognition within the IBM i community, the President for the Wisconsin Midrange Computer Professional Association(WMCPA) users group with several years of volunteering with the organization, a member of COMMON’S New to IBM i (N2i) committee, a COMMON board member for over 4 years and started as a director and is now holds the secretary role, a member of COMMON America Advisory Council (CAAC) which is a group of diverse individuals who advocate for the IBM i platform and works very closely with IBM, the COMMON board liaison for the COMMON America Advisory Council (CAAC), an international public speaker with experience speaking in the US, Canada, Sweden and India on topics ranging from RPG, SQL, webservices, personal development, standards and unit testing. She sits as an advisor for Gateway Technical College IT Software development program, She has completed two open source projects the first is IBMiLog a logging tool written in RPG and for the IBM i platform and IBMiUnit, a RPG unit testing framework for the IBM i platform.
